From the software providers Playtech comes this 9 line slot machine known as the Roaring 20′s. The theme is obviously from the time set in the 20′s which involves symbols such as mobsters, policemen, plush dancers and then you have the A, K, Q and J as per the norm. On viewing the pay table you notice that there is a special feature if you manage to collect enough barrels in a win line.

The minimum stake was 25 pence per line or £2.25 per spin with the absolute maximum for Roaring Twenties £50 per line or £450 per spin. The sounds were great and each win produced a 20′s music snippet that made you feel you were there. We had not won much at the time but the barrels were far too interesting to leave alone so we continued at the minimum stake in the hope of matching three of them up. It wasn’t long at all before we picked up the three barrels, probably somewhere between 15-25 spins. We were then given the option to choose a barrel hopefully containing a nice juicy cash bonus.

Imagine the disappointment on our faces when we selected the thirs barrel from a choice of five, along comes a 20′s policeman and smashes the barrel, inside is a bomb that explodes and we are given only 25 pence as a bonus. Obviously we picked the wrong one but we certainly wanted to try this again so iff we span into the early hours of the morning.



A few spins later and were back on the barrel bonus once more, this time we chose the 1st one and was given a 5x stake multiplier, the more barrels you open on Roaring 20′s the higher the multiplier which can go as high as 250x. On the second barrel we opened there was another bomb so our total winnings for the bonus was a measly £2.25

Roaring Twenties is quite handy but it just would not pay us enough cash this time round, and we were very unlucky with the bonuses. Should you play this game it may be best that you up the stake a bit higher than we did and you may have to be a high roller to get something worthwhile out of it.
