This is what we wanted for our readers so we started spinning! Although we were not making a profit per spin, we were making some money and the wins were building up. At this point we turned the sound off. After a good 30-40 spins we were hit with the Ken versus Bison bonus which involved us having to fight him to the death!

The minimum stake was 25 pence per line or £2.25 per spin with the absolute maximum for Roaring Twenties £50 per line or £450 per spin. The sounds were great and each win produced a 20′s music snippet that made you feel you were there. We had not won much at the time but the barrels were far too interesting to leave alone so we continued at the minimum stake in the hope of matching three of them up. It wasn’t long at all before we picked up the three barrels, probably somewhere between 15-25 spins. We were then given the option to choose a barrel hopefully containing a nice juicy cash bonus.

Roaring Twenties is quite handy but it just would not pay us enough cash this time round, and we were very unlucky with the bonuses. Should you play this game it may be best that you up the stake a bit higher than we did and you may have to be a high roller to get something worthwhile out of it.

The paytable showed that there were numerous scatters and features to be won, with the roulette table being the special feature and a James Bond type character used as the “Wilds”. This was the normal playtech bet on black, red or any of the suits bonus which can be good if you get it right, we just could not afford to get it wrong so we left it well alone for the duration of the game. The paytable gave plenty of information and gave good scatter options with all the favourite movie characters there, this was obviously the best part that we needed to look for, apart from the jackpot of course. There was no actual music during the game and the only sounds came along when something was won. For a 25 line slot machine we felt it could have paid a bit more money out but hey that’s the luck of the game, if it was that easy then everyone would be doing it!

It was not long at all before we were awarded the special feature which gave us the option to choose one of five games to involve either Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, The Thing and Dr Doom. Depending on which game we selected, we would be given different deals and on looking through them we felt Ben Grimm offered the best deal with 15 free games, with each payout generated by its own multiplier, others were providing triple payouts and doubles but felt the need to see what “The Thing” had to offer!

Whilst Ben Grimm would flash onto the screen and smash it, giving us a multiplier that did not get higher than 4x we were very happy as the total then boomed when Ben gave us a 7x bonus which took out total past £120!! This was a good bonus and one worth considering when taking if you get that far. As for the others I am not sure but the random multiplier really did it for us!

The graphics were not the sharpest but you knew excatly what you were looking at and what you were looking for. The sounds were actually good and more of a sound track rather than 16 beats of music placed on loop so there was no irritation there.



A nice bonus on this one was when you get 3 reddish pyramids on any of your winning lines. This then entered you into a bonus round where the slot machine would give you a free 15 spins at 3 times the amount they were normally worth. This was obviously really handy, especially if your total stake was past the $1 mark, our account quickly spiralled past the $80 mark and although most of the spins do not give you a really decent win, at least four of them will usually boost your account balance to a nice level.

We were unable to ascertain whether collecting another 3 pyramids within the bonus would have extended the free spins but we assume that this type of thing would be included although it never actually happend to us.



Looking at the jackpots on Cleopatra we noticed that the machine had just paid out over $40k so we were not pinning our hopes on anything monstrously big but the jackpot stood at about $15k whilst we were playing. On looking at the pictures for the jackpot it did not take us long to realise that those pictures(Pharaohs which were also known as Wild Cards) did not come around very often and only once did we have more than one on the whole screen.
